ISDS Foundation Supports Illinois Dental Schools

The Illinois State Dental Society Foundation is proud to announce its continued support for dental education in Illinois through the Dr. Keith and Peggy Dickey Dental Education Endowment Fund program. Thanks to the advocacy efforts of the Illinois State Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Practice Act allows dentist and dental hygienists that are new graduates to practice under the delegation of a licensed “supervising” dentist while awaiting licensure.

Dental Practice Act Modernized and Reauthorized Through 2030 and Signed by the Governor

ISDS secured long-term stability and meaningful updates to the Dental Practice Act, ensuring Illinois dentists can continue to practice under modern, profession-forward standards. The Governor recently signed the legislation, and it is now in effect.
